BEFORE REHAB: AUGUST 2020

A bit about this land…

We are so grateful to be the next caretakers and stewards of Kickapoo land in Eureka, Missouri. This 28 acre property has deep historic roots as we believe it to be one of the oldest standing homestead sites in St. Louis County.

We bought the land in the early days of Covid and have been working to carefully revive our 1918 farmhouse, which had fallen into serious disrepair and was considered a tear down. The house sat vacant for nearly 8 years, its only resident a six foot Rat Snake which kept the place free from rodents!

Inspired by a vision to bring it back to life and a love for historic homes, we have spent the last three years renovating the home and expect to finish by the end of 2023. We’ve shared some of our rehab journey on our Instagram page, @heartsongmo. It’s been a labor of love!

We’re excited to share this magical land with our community through small events that bring people closer to nature and to each other.
